Assistant System Administrators/ Assistant Network Administrators

Qualification: Any Degree/PG

Candidates with certification preferred

Assistant System Administrators:
Role Summary: Asst. Systems Administrator works with the Systems Administration Team on the deployment, management and maintenance if various servers and related services.
Essential Responsibilities: User account management, advanced OS and hardware diagnostics,
data recovery operations, monitoring and maintenance of servers and storage. Application deployment, maintenance and security. Maintain client-level security and maintenance log.Prepare client-side documentations and user manuals. Carry out special assignments on demand.
Technical Abilities: Solid understanding of Operating Systems. Basic understanding of networking and computer hardware is a mandatory. Exposure to Open-Source tools and server hardware is a plus. Should have a capacity to learn complex technologies to set up mission critical System environment.
Assistant Network Administrators:
Role Summary: Asst. Systems Administrator works with the Network Administration Team on the deployment, management and maintenance of the campus network infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities: Support and maintenance of Layer-2/3/4 switches including access
lists, packet control, inter-VLAN communication and Wi-Fi zones. Monitor and support the overall health of the network, security, ensuring that the network connectivity throughout the LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations at the network level.
Technical Abilities: Solid understanding of LAN/WAN environments, TCP/IP communication process, layered models, IP addresses schemes, subnet masks and Routing Protocols. Basic understanding of Operating Systems, packet filtering, Connection tracking and Network Address Translation (NAT).
Skills Required:
Excellent Oral and written Communication skills. Team dynamics. Drive to take on individual initiatives and possess innovativeness. Should possess Learning and Analytical Ability. Values attention to details. Ability to work and prove as an individual Contributor. Must possess leadership and team motivation skills and demonstrate team leading Capabilities. Ability to lead large teams and co-ordinate across departments. Creative bent for Solutions and problem diagnosis. User communication and management skills. Help in resolving and root cause analysis and fixes.
